Here’s the ugly truth about dieting…
When you simply cut back on calories—which is what most diets have you do—you’re more likely to lose lean muscle. But, of course, what you really want to lose is fat!
And that’s how the “A-List aminos” will change your life. They promote “fat-free mass” and build lean muscle.
No other dieting strategy can deliver you that two-punch of results quite like The A-List Diet can.
Now, let me share with you another reason why losing fat is so important…
Body fat—especially belly fat—triggers “low-grade inflammation.”
Scientific studies link major chronic illnesses, such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes, to weight gain…and in turn to inflammation.
In fact, a 2008 study from the University of Nottingham in the U.K. revealed as weight increases, so does the level of C-reactive protein (CRP) in the bloodstream. CRP is a blood marker for inflammation. And you should ask your doctor to measure it for you. Knowing this number can help you track your progress as you lose weight.
I measure CRP for all my patients and have found it very useful in managing their weight loss, inflammation, and other related health concerns.
The good news is, The A-List Diet will help you lower your level of chronic inflammation. My patients feel better within a few days of starting the program. They improve their energy, sleep, and overall sense of well-being.

A-Listers’ Corner
Question: I feel like I’m driving myself crazy trying to manage my calorie intake. Should I count calories?
Answer: The short answer is no! A calorie is not just a calorie.
And this is where most commercial diet programs get it all wrong.
In fact, programs that focus on calories miss the entire point of eating to be healthy. So, weight loss (and, more importantly, weight management) suffers as a result.
In this futile, calorie-counting scenario, you may think, “I have 100 calories left to consume today. So, I’ll just have a bit of ice cream instead of broccoli.”
No!
Your body responds to 100 calories of ice cream vastly differently from the way it responds to 100 calories of broccoli. And for long-term success—which is what The A-list Diet is all about—you must care about the long-term metabolic, hormonal, digestive, mental, and overall health aspects of your diet.
One more thing…
Forget the idea of “deprivation.” Thinking about what you “can’t” have will only make you miserable and feed those cravings. Instead, focus on shifting your cravings in the right direction.
Visualize all of the wonderfully indulgent foods you CAN enjoy (and still lose weight)—like juicy burgers dripping with cheese and southern fried chicken with crispy skin.
You can find recipes like these—and many more—in the new paperback version of The A-List Diet. Losing weight has never been more delicious!
Until next time,
